Dear Parents,

It is so exciting.  School is almost here!  I hope you all had great vacations and that you are now rested and ready for school to start.

On Tuesday, we will have school from 9 am to noon.  Your child should bring their classroom supplies to be signed in:

1 ream of lined, three ring, note paper

  24 pencils

1 large, lined, spiral, 3 hole, writerÕs notebook

2 spiral notebooks for social studies and science note taking and one spiral notebook with graph paper for math.

  1 large, 3 ring binder

  1 large box of tissue

1 change of clothes in a box with your name on it.

On Tuesday, each advisory will help plan a part of the Catoctin trip, and each child will get his or her weekly schedule. You are warmly invited to join us for some pizza at our noon-time pick up.

It would also be a big help to the office if you ceck to be sure that your health and emergency forms are in to them so that everything is ready for our trip.

Then, on Wednesday, we will have a normal Wednesday at school starting at 8 am.  It will be our first day of classes, and we will begin to discuss our first book, Blood on the River during language arts.

Then, on Thursday, we will head off to Catoctin.  It would be a big help to us to know that we have enough drivers to get the kids to and from Catoctin.  So, could you please fill out the form below and email it back to us so that we know we have enough drivers and so we also know how much food to buy before our trip. We look forward to getting your replies. Thank you.

We both look forward to getting to know your child.  It looks like a great, bright and creative bunch, and we are excited about building community at Catoctin and then returning to school and settling into our regular, academic rhythm.

Feel free to email us with your questions and suggestions.  Please check that we have your email entered correctly in this email so that we can keep in touch with you regularly.  Or, let us know if you would like to receive emails at a different address. Also, be sure to send us any adresses we might be missing.

Also, if your family is still thinking about getting a computer, you can contact Christine in the Office to get her suggestions.

Have a great weekend and we will see you all on Tuesday,

  Jordan and Elizabeth
